Motorcycle Accident Leads to Death of Man

On Thursday, May 12, a motorcycle accident led to the death of a man in Lafayette.

According to Lafayette Police the accident happened at around 2.15 p.m. when 34 year old Tucker Huval of Breaux Bridge was travelling westbound on Willow Street. A red Ford car driving eastbound then made a left turn onto Staten Street directly into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle crashed into the car and Huval was ejected.

Huval was pronounced dead at the scene and the unnamed driver and passenger in the car were transported to the local hospital with minor injuries.

Willow Street was closed between Cora and University, as the crash was investigated.

That investigation is still ongoing and so far no citations have been issued.

Huval leaves behind a spouse, Jessica and five children.
